Lisk says its chain shuts down Oct 31. Most $LSK holders think that's their deadline. It's not.

If your LSK is staked directly on Lisk Chain: unstaking takes 3 days, bridging to Ethereum takes another 7. That's 10 days minimum — pushing your real deadline back to Oct 21.
Miss it, and whatever's still on-chain after Oct 31 becomes unreachable.
If your LSK is already on Ethereum or on an exchange, you don't need to do anything.
Currently ~282M LSK (70.59%) is unlocked, ~117.65M still locked. Unstaking fees still apply until the new resolution passes.
Mark Oct 21 on your calendar, not Oct 31.

Damn, the deadline is actually the 21st? I thought it was the end of the month. I’d better check my staking status right away.

Unstaking + bridging takes 10 days. This design is too unfriendly to retail users—the chain is shutting down and it still locks you in for seven days.

Those already on exchanges can sit back, while on-chain stakers face a race between life and death—this information gap during the migration could screw over a whole bunch of people.
