Spent last night on the balcony with my mom, mooncake in one hand, phone in the other, trying not to be obvious about checking my BTC position every ten minutes. She caught me anyway and just laughed, said I've been doing that since the last bull run too.
Just pulled up the actual BTC/USDT 4h chart on Gate to get real numbers instead of guessing. Current price is 75,657, and if you scroll back on this chart you can see the whole story, BTC ground sideways near 63,400 for a while, then broke out hard, ran all the way up toward the 82,878 area, and has spent the last several sessions fading back down into the mid 75k zone. That's roughly a 9 percent pullback from the recent high, still sitting well above where the move even started.
Here's what I keep telling myself looking at moves like this. A sharp breakout followed by a slow bleed isn't automatically bearish, it's often just the market digesting the people who bought the top. What matters more is whether price holds above the old breakout zone, which for this move looks like it's somewhere in the low 70s. As long as that structure holds, I treat this as consolidation, not reversal. I learned that lesson the expensive way years ago, panic selling a pullback that was really just a pause.
Mid-Autumn is about watching the same moon from different places and still feeling connected to where you started. This chart is kind of the same, everyone's staring at the same candles, just interpreting the story differently depending on where they got in.
Curious where you all think that old breakout zone actually holds, or if you think this fade has more room to run.
