GATE US IS BUILDING THE REGULATORY ROADMAP FOR ITS NEXT CHAPTER

Gate US has reached 37 state-level compliant licenses in the United States, with Massachusetts becoming the latest addition through its Money Transmitter License.

For me, the most interesting part of this milestone is not simply the number 37.

It is what the number represents.

Crypto exchanges are often measured by trading volume, liquidity, listed assets, fees and user growth. Those metrics are important, but as the industry matures, another factor is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore: regulatory infrastructure.

And Gate US is clearly putting significant effort into building it.

Going from 36 to 37 state-level licenses may look like a small numerical increase, but regulatory expansion is rarely simple. Every jurisdiction can have different requirements, compliance expectations, operational standards and ongoing responsibilities.

That means every additional approval represents another step toward becoming capable of operating within a highly regulated financial environment.

Gate US now has a regulatory footprint covering 47 U.S. states and territories where it is licensed or otherwise authorized. That makes the Massachusetts milestone part of a much larger strategy rather than an isolated announcement.

This is the part of the story I find most important.

The American crypto market is enormous, but it is also one of the most demanding markets in the world. Success there requires more than simply offering an app and attracting users.

An exchange needs compliance systems.

It needs risk management.

It needs security.

It needs operational infrastructure.

It needs the ability to understand and respond to changing regulatory requirements.

And, most importantly, it needs to build user confidence over time.

That is why I believe Gate US's regulatory expansion could become a meaningful competitive advantage.

A trading feature can potentially be copied.

A new campaign can be replicated.

Fees can be adjusted.

But building regulatory relationships and maintaining compliance across a large number of jurisdictions requires much deeper investment.

This is where the concept of a long-term moat becomes interesting.

Gate has already built a global digital-asset ecosystem covering trading, derivatives, Web3, financial products and other services. Expanding that ecosystem into the United States requires another layer of infrastructure: localized compliance and regulatory access.

In my view, this creates a powerful combination.

Compliance provides the foundation.

Liquidity supports efficient markets.

Technology improves the trading experience.

Products create utility.

Security protects users.

Localization connects the platform with individual markets.

When these elements work together, an exchange can move from simply being a trading platform toward becoming a broader financial infrastructure provider.

And that is why I am watching Gate US closely.

The jump from 23 to 36 state-level MTLs was already a significant expansion, and Massachusetts pushing the number to 37 shows that the regulatory strategy is continuing.

But I would not treat 37 licenses as the finish line.

It is actually another checkpoint.

The real test will be how effectively Gate maintains these standards while continuing to expand its products, liquidity, technology and user services.

That is where sustainable growth is created.

The crypto industry is entering a period where regulation and innovation will increasingly have to work together. Institutional participation is growing, traditional finance is interacting more closely with digital assets, and users are becoming more conscious of platform reliability and regulatory responsibility.

In that environment, exchanges that build infrastructure before they desperately need it could have a meaningful advantage.

That is the bigger message I take from Gate US reaching 37 state-level compliant licenses.

It is not just about obtaining another approval.

It is about preparing for a larger market.

It is about building credibility jurisdiction by jurisdiction.

It is about proving that global expansion can be combined with local responsibility.

And ultimately, it is about building a foundation strong enough to support the next stage of crypto adoption.

For me, 37 is not the destination.

It is another milestone on a much longer roadmap.

The exchanges that win the next decade may not simply be the ones that grow the fastest.

They may be the ones that build the strongest foundations while they grow.

Gate US is clearly trying to do exactly that.
