A failed Ethereum swap can still carry a network fee. ⛽
If the transaction is included onchain and execution reverts, the intended exchange is undone—but computation has already happened. Gas pays for that work.
The receipt separates the two results:
→ Did the swap execute successfully?
→ How much gas did the attempt use?
Gas used × effective gas price gives the execution fee. A pre-broadcast wallet rejection is a different situation.
Understanding those two lines explains how a swap can fail while the ETH balance still decreases.
