TSLA | China is offering discounts on the Model Y again—what Musk lacks now isn't trending-topic coverage 😂

What Tesla needs most right now may genuinely not be another post from Musk. 😂
In August, the Shanghai factory delivered 86,166 Model 3/Y vehicles, still up year-on-year, but the growth rate plunged from 38% in July to just 3.6%; month-on-month deliveries even fell 7.9%.
So the Chinese market has recently started offering discounts on the Model 3 and Model Y again.
At this point, when I look at TSLA, what I care about most is no longer:
“Are the discounts bearish?”
But rather—
After the price cuts, can sales actually recover?
Anyone can offer discounts; what is truly valuable is for sales to reaccelerate after the discounts.
If September sales clearly recover, that means trading profit for growth;
if discounts are offered but sales remain sluggish…
then things get a little awkward:
Less money is being collected, yet they still haven't sold more cars.
Musk would probably want to cut off another steering wheel after seeing this. 😂
So going forward, I’ll be watching China’s September sales closely. This figure may be more useful than ten of Musk’s posts.

Down 7.9% month-on-month, and with the promotions returning, it feels like they’re just living off their past success...

The growth rate dropping from 38% to 3.6% is a bit alarming; if incentives still can’t bring it back, it’ll be truly awkward.

September’s data is indeed crucial—let’s see whether it proves the skeptics wrong or wins them over.

Musk cutting off the steering wheel is hilarious, but seriously, what Tesla needs now is product iteration, not trending searches.

Keeping an eye on sales is much more reliable than watching Twitter. I agree with this approach.
