The RH chain was indeed overly driven by FOMO some time ago, exhausting a lot of its upside. Moreover, during this rally, many addresses have not yet cashed out, so a short-term turnover-driven shakeout is still unrealistic and will require some time.
But I still believe Pons could grow into an unassailable leading asset in the future.
The Robinhood team is very good at creating and capitalizing on trends; RH now commands enormous traffic, and even the slightest movement will continuously draw more attention from many KOLs in the market. Moreover, Pons is home to not only Memes but also a large number of DeFi projects.
Because 70% of LP fees go to project teams, while 80% of the remaining 30% is used for token buybacks and burns, the only remaining pain point for DeFi projects going forward will be “cold starts.”
Speaking of cold starts, as RH’s leading project, Pons truly lacks neither attention nor traffic, creating a very interesting flywheel: more projects → greater attention → more trading → more fees → more buybacks → PONS holders continuously capture the returns.
Pons’s mechanism is therefore bound to attract more DeFi projects to launch within the Robinhood ecosystem, and the revenue generated by these projects will become the fuel for Pons’s upward spiral.
Robinhood generates the traffic → Memes attract the first wave of users → PONS takes on the projects → more projects means more trading → more fees → more buybacks → PONS continues to rise. So, for now, Pons’s flywheel seems impossible to break—it's incredibly powerful.
However, at this price level, if you don’t already have a position, I still don’t recommend chasing it. Just accumulate gradually. If the buyback intensity continues to increase, by the time you look back at Pons, it may already be out of reach! The founder also really understands traffic and operations. Ozzy truly understands traffic, and I think Pons’s success is genuinely the result of having a highly capable founder. So I remain bullish!!$PONS
