It looks more like the U.S. is finally preparing to draw the traffic rules for Crypto
The biggest problem before was:
Are you a security or a commodity?
The SEC says it falls under its jurisdiction, while the CFTC also wants a piece of the action. Projects are left guessing every day, and institutions entering the market first have to ask—
Could this thing suddenly send me a lawyer’s letter one day?
If CLARITY moves forward smoothly, its core purpose is to further clarify the regulatory boundaries between the SEC and CFTC, making the rules for digital assets, trading platforms, brokers, and others more explicit
This is actually very important for institutions
The clearer the rules, the more willing institutions will be to enter the market
The more willing institutions are to enter, the more likely sectors such as exchanges, custody, stablecoins, RWA, and compliant DeFi will be first to benefit
So what is really worth watching is not which small coin is the first to latch onto the “CLARITY narrative”
But who has already prepared the licenses, compliance, users, and real business
Of course, this is still only a key vote, and there is still a way to go before final implementation
If it moves forward smoothly, the short term may first see expectations priced in, followed by a look at whether capital actually flows in
If it gets stalled, don’t be surprised. That’s an old Crypto tradition:
Talk about regulatory implementation before the vote, then ask after the vote, “Has the bullish news already been priced in?”
But in the medium to long term, if the U.S. really sorts out its regulatory boundaries once and for all, the biggest change may not be that a certain coin suddenly takes off
It may be that institutions can finally move money without worrying that the SEC is standing at the door asking questions
Once the rules are clear, money will dare to enter
