This feels like an inflection point for crypto

CLARITY Act odds reportedly moved from around 22% to 32% after Trump’s ethics deal

That matters but 32% is still far from becoming law

The Senate needs 60 votes and political resistance is already building

At the same time the Fed can have a much faster impact on markets

A rate hike with inflation at 3.4% and elevated oil prices could tighten liquidity before regulatory clarity even arrives

My view is simple

CLARITY could change the rulebook for institutions

The Fed still controls the money

This week I’m watching the follow through not just the headlines

Once CLARITY passes, it can indeed change the rules of the game, but the prerequisite for institutional entry is that liquidity must ease first. In the current interest-rate environment, who would dare take a heavy position?

There’s still a long way to go from 32% to 60%; the Senate can bicker for a year, while the Fed can be moved to act at the drop of a hat. This week, watching where the money flows is more useful than watching the news.
