Behind the 667% growth rate, users are the core variable
When I saw this set of data from Gate, my first reaction was not “How much did trading volume increase?” but rather: How much new trading demand is actually entering this platform?
The latest CryptoQuant report provides several interesting metrics: Gate’s spot trading volume entered the global Top 3, its 30-day spot growth reached +667%, ranking first globally, while its contract trading volume growth also entered the global Top 3.
Looking at these figures together is more meaningful than looking at any single ranking.
Because trading volume is essentially an outcome, reflecting users, capital, and trading behavior. Spot growth indicates that real buying and selling demand is increasing, while simultaneous activity in contracts indicates that traders have greater demand for tools such as leverage, hedging, and short-term strategies. If both sides are growing at the same time, the platform may be absorbing more than just short-term traffic driven by a particular market trend; the trading ecosystem itself may be becoming more active.
Of course, user growth is not simply a matter of “the more users, the better.” For a trading platform, what truly determines retention is whether new users stay after joining, whether trading depth is sufficient, whether popular assets can be traded quickly, and whether the product experience can keep up.
So I think the most noteworthy aspect this time is not any single impressive figure, but the logic behind the numbers: Are more and more users starting to view Gate as a long-term trading gateway?
If the answer is yes, then 667% is merely a temporary result. What truly sparks the imagination is how far the platform can go once user growth, trading activity, and product capabilities form a positive feedback loop.#Gate增速全球第一
