Polkadot’s September 2026 network snapshot shows 65+ active parachains, 50.8% of supply staked and $102M in ecosystem TVL — yet DOT trades near $0.999, below the $1.027 September 14 high. The complication is supply: 13.94M DOT were issued over the 90 days to September 4, while the March 2026 governance change cut issuance by 53.6% and capped supply at 2.1B DOT.

That divergence—the network metrics are constructive, but price has not held the September 7–14 recovery—is a watch, not a confident long/short. The September 12 Elastic Scaling rollout adds a real protocol catalyst, but the $1 area remains technically unresolved.

For DOT/USDT, a daily close above $1.027 would confirm renewed demand. Support is $0.997, the September 14 low; below it, $0.97 becomes the next line, matching the support level cited on September 14.

Next 1–2 weeks — watch how price digests Elastic Scaling and ongoing governance activity.

A confirmed close below $0.97 invalidates the constructive divergence thesis; a broad-market bounce could lift DOT without improving DOT-specific demand.
