Solana $SOL co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko reignited the AI slowdown debate with just four words:

“Profitability at $1 trillion mcap.”
He appeared to question whether calls to slow frontier AI development could be influenced by financial incentives. But he named no company and offered no evidence.
The comment came after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warned that AI progress may be moving faster than our ability to control it.
OpenAI's Sam Altman agreed: “We need to pace the frontier.”
Elon Musk simply said: “Dario is right.”
Meanwhile, President TRUMP reacts to recent, concerning reports about AI and answers whether the industry should be more regulated.
