Stock Tokenization: The Real Opportunity Is Bigger Than the Token

I think a lot of people are looking at stock tokenization from the wrong angle.

It’s not simply about putting a stock on a blockchain.

The interesting part is what becomes possible after that.

Fractional ownership.
24/7 access.
Faster settlement.
Programmable assets.
And potentially fewer steps between buying and actually owning an asset.

That could change how financial markets work behind the scenes.

For me, the biggest opportunity isn’t turning traditional stocks into “crypto.”

It’s rebuilding the rails underneath them.

Same asset.
Better infrastructure.

That’s the part of tokenization I’m watching most closely.

Fractional ownership should have become mainstream long ago. These days, even buying a single share of NVDA is a struggle, and only through tokenization can retail investors truly participate in high-quality assets.

Finally, someone explained it clearly: the value of tokenization lies not in the act of “putting it on-chain,” but in restructuring the settlement layer.

24/7 trading + T+0 settlement would be a crushing blow to traditional brokerages—the real opportunity lies in a revolution in underlying infrastructure.

“Same asset, better rails” — this summary is spot-on. Many people speculate on the RWA concept without understanding the changes at the plumbing layer.
