CEX competition enters the hard-power phase

The crypto market has never lacked hot topics or trading platforms, but there are clearly far fewer platforms that can continuously attract capital and maintain trading activity.
Gate’s 24H futures open interest exceeded $11.479 billion, ranking among the top three CEXs globally. Data like this is more worth observing than mere promotional slogans, because capital will not keep offering “verbal support”; ultimately, it votes through trading behavior.
In particular, the futures market is placing increasingly higher demands on platforms. When market conditions are calm, users may feel that the differences are minimal. But once extreme volatility hits, liquidity, execution speed, system stability, and risk-control capabilities all face a collective stress test.
Therefore, when choosing a CEX today, I believe users cannot look only at fee discounts. Low fees are certainly important, but “not failing at critical moments” may be even more important.
After all, the trading market has no pause button, and opportunities and risks often emerge at the same time. Whether a platform can keep pace with the market is its true competitiveness.
