Stock Tokenization: The Part That Interests Me Most

When people hear “tokenized stocks,” they usually think:

Stocks + blockchain.

But that’s not really the interesting part.

The bigger change could be how ownership moves.

Today, buying and settling traditional assets can involve market hours, intermediaries and waiting periods.

Tokenization could make the process more flexible:

→ Trade beyond traditional market hours
→ Own smaller portions of assets
→ Move assets through blockchain rails
→ Keep records transparent
→ Build new financial products around programmable assets

For me, the real story isn’t replacing the stock market with crypto.

It’s upgrading the infrastructure underneath it.

Same familiar assets.
Different rails.
Potentially a much more flexible market.

Finally, someone has hit the nail on the head: the core of tokenization isn’t crypto speculation—it’s rebuilding the clearing and settlement infrastructure layer from the ground up. Turning T+2 into T+0 or even real-time settlement—that’s what institutions really care about.

Fractional shares are underestimated. Letting retail investors buy a small fraction of Berkshire Hathaway Class A stock for $50 is what makes the financial inclusion narrative credible.

24/7 trading + programmable assets mean derivatives can be settled atomically in the future, sharply reducing counterparty risk. Traditional brokerages’ moats are being eroded by code.

Transparent ledgers + auditable on-chain holdings are actually a regulator-friendly signal. Once compliance costs come down, RWA can truly scale.
