#SenateReleasesNewCLARITYAct Senate Republicans just dropped a revised version of the Clarity Act, and the crypto world is watching closely. The updated 630-page text of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act lands days before a key procedural vote scheduled for September 15, aiming to finally deliver the long-awaited federal framework that separates digital commodities from securities and assigns clear roles to the CFTC and SEC.

This latest draft incorporates more than a hundred changes requested during negotiations, including new requirements that non-decentralized trading protocols—those still controlled by specific people or groups—must register with the CFTC. It also refines rules around DeFi while keeping the core goal intact: giving innovators, exchanges, and investors a predictable set of rules instead of the current patchwork of enforcement actions and uncertainty. The bill has already cleared the House and advanced through Senate committees earlier this year, but it still needs bipartisan support to reach the 60-vote threshold for cloture.

From my perspective, regulatory clarity of this kind is one of the missing pieces that could accelerate institutional participation and keep more development onshore. Markets tend to reward reduced ambiguity, yet the ethics provisions and remaining Democratic concerns mean passage is far from guaranteed. Whether this version can secure the necessary votes will shape the next chapter for US crypto policy.

Do you think this revised Clarity Act has enough support to clear the Senate this month, or will further compromises be needed? Share your prediction or what part of the bill matters most to you.
