SNDK PULLS BACK FROM $1,807: IS THIS A HEALTHY RESET OR THE START OF A DEEPER CORRECTION?
SanDisk has been one of the most explosive semiconductor stories of 2026, but today's price action is a reminder that even the strongest AI-related stocks do not move in a straight line.
SNDK is now trading around $1,633, down significantly from yesterday's $1,807 level. That is a sharp one-day pullback, and after the stock's extraordinary rally this year, volatility should not come as a surprise.
The important question is not simply, "Why did SNDK fall?"
The better question is:
Can SNDK turn this decline into a controlled correction and rebuild momentum?
I believe that is where the next important setup is developing.
AI MEMORY STORY IS STILL THE BIGGER PICTURE
The recent SNDK rally has not been driven purely by speculation. The fundamental story behind the stock has become increasingly connected to the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure.
AI data centers require enormous amounts of memory and storage. As AI workloads become larger and more complex, demand for high-capacity storage continues to increase.
SanDisk's reported fiscal Q4 2026 data-center revenue of approximately $2.98 billion, representing 103% sequential growth and 1,298% year-over-year growth, illustrates how dramatically the company's exposure to data-center demand has changed.
That is a major reason why investors have started looking at SNDK differently.
The other important factor is NAND supply.
If demand continues to run ahead of available supply, pricing conditions can remain supportive for memory manufacturers. SanDisk has also indicated that certain bits could remain allocated beyond 2027, suggesting that the current supply-demand environment may not disappear quickly.
So while today's price action looks bearish in the short term, the longer-term fundamental narrative remains interesting.
THE $1,807 → $1,633 MOVE MATTERS
Yesterday, SNDK was trading around $1,807.
Today, it is around $1,633.
That means the market has erased a substantial portion of the recent momentum in a very short period.
This is exactly where traders need to avoid emotional decisions.
A large red candle after a huge rally does not automatically mean the entire bullish thesis is broken.
At the same time, calling every pullback a "buying opportunity" can also be dangerous.
The chart now needs confirmation.
For me, the first area to watch is $1,600-$1,620.
If buyers step in around this zone and SNDK begins forming higher lows, the current decline could develop into a healthy reset.
If $1,600 fails decisively, however, the next support region becomes much more important.
KEY SUPPORT LEVELS
$1,600-$1,620:
This is the immediate battlefield. Holding this area would help stabilize the short-term structure.
$1,540-$1,560:
A deeper retracement into this zone could still be considered a normal correction following such an aggressive rally.
$1,450-$1,500:
This is the major structural support area. A decisive breakdown below $1,500 would significantly weaken the current bullish setup.
KEY RESISTANCE LEVELS
$1,700-$1,740:
SNDK needs to reclaim this region to demonstrate that buyers are returning with strength.
$1,800-$1,825:
This area is particularly important because yesterday's $1,807 price action showed that the market can trade aggressively around this zone.
$1,950-$2,000:
A successful move above $1,825 could bring this psychological region back into focus.
$2,100-$2,125:
This remains a major upside reference and is close to the average analyst target discussed in recent market coverage.
$2,350-$2,450:
This becomes the larger breakout and price-discovery zone if the AI-memory cycle remains exceptionally strong.
WHAT I AM WATCHING NOW
At $1,633, SNDK is sitting much closer to the first major support zone than it was yesterday.
That changes the risk-reward picture.
I would not chase SNDK after a massive green move, and I also would not blindly buy simply because the price has fallen.
Instead, I would watch the reaction around $1,600-$1,620.
A strong bounce accompanied by improving volume could suggest that buyers are defending the area.
On the other hand, a weak bounce followed by another breakdown could indicate that the correction has further room to develop.
This is why confirmation matters more than prediction.
BULLISH SCENARIO
If SNDK holds $1,600-$1,620 and eventually reclaims $1,740, the next targets could be $1,825, followed by $1,950-$2,000.
A sustained breakout above $2,100 could bring $2,250-$2,450 into focus.
In an exceptionally strong AI-memory cycle, even higher valuations could become possible, but that would require continued earnings growth, strong data-center demand, tight NAND supply and sustained institutional interest.
BEARISH SCENARIO
If SNDK loses $1,600 with strong selling pressure, I would become more cautious.
The next areas I would monitor would be $1,540-$1,560 and then $1,450-$1,500.
A decisive breakdown below $1,500 would weaken the bullish structure considerably.
That would not necessarily mean the long-term company story is finished, but it would suggest that the stock needs time to rebuild its technical structure.
TRADING PLAN
My preferred approach is simple:
Don't chase.
Don't panic.
Wait for confirmation.
Possible planning levels:
SL1: $1,560
SL2: $1,500
SL3: $1,430
TP1: $1,825
TP2: $2,100
TP3: $2,450
These are planning references, not guarantees. Position sizing should always be adjusted according to individual risk tolerance.
THE BIGGER DEBATE
The SNDK story currently has two competing forces.
On one side, we have AI infrastructure expansion, strong data-center growth, increasing storage requirements and potentially tight NAND supply.
On the other side, we have an enormous stock-price appreciation that has pushed expectations much higher.
That means the company can remain fundamentally strong while the stock still experiences significant corrections.
Personally, I remain constructive, but I am not blindly bullish.
The move from $1,807 to $1,633 shows exactly why risk management matters after a parabolic rally.
FINAL VIEW
For me, $1,600 is now the key number.
If SNDK can defend $1,600-$1,620 and reclaim $1,740, the recent decline could eventually look like a healthy reset before another attempt toward $1,825, $2,100 and potentially $2,450.
But if $1,500 breaks decisively, I would step back and wait for the chart to rebuild.
SNDK has already demonstrated extraordinary strength.
Now the market needs to prove whether this pullback is simply profit-taking—or the beginning of a deeper correction.
The next move will likely be decided not by yesterday's $1,807 high, but by how buyers and sellers behave around the $1,600 area.
For me, the strategy remains:
BUY THE CONFIRMATION, NOT THE EXCITEMENT.
