#OracleQ1EarningsBeatStockUpOver5%

Oracle delivered a stronger-than-expected first-quarter 2027 report, giving investors confidence in its artificial-intelligence and cloud strategy. Adjusted earnings came in at $1.92 per share, beating the $1.74 Wall Street estimate, while revenue reached $19.35 billion, up 30% year over year and above expectations. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) was the standout performer, with revenue surging 121% to about $7.4 billion as demand for AI computing accelerated. 
The company also reported more than $30 billion in AI cloud contracts during the quarter, helping push remaining performance obligations to $664 billion. Management raised its fiscal 2027 outlook, targeting at least $90 billion in revenue and $8.10 in adjusted earnings per share, adding to the bullish reaction. 
Oracle shares initially jumped around 7% to 8% after the earnings release as investors focused on accelerating cloud growth and stronger guidance. However, heavy spending remains a concern. Oracle spent about $28.5 billion on capital expenditures during the quarter and continues to forecast roughly $90 billion to $95 billion for the full fiscal year. 
The results strengthen Oracle’s position as an AI infrastructure provider, but investors will closely monitor debt, cash flow, margins and the company’s ability to convert its AI backlog into profitable growth.
