It rose too fast!
ZEC fell more than 13%, and many people's first reaction was: “Is the privacy sector dying?” Not necessarily. A more reasonable explanation is that after excessive gains in the previous period, the market has begun a sharp rebalancing of positions.
ZEC had previously broken through key price ranges in succession, rapidly heating up market sentiment and attracting large amounts of short-term capital. When prices enter a highly volatile phase, any piece of negative news can become a trigger for profit-taking. Thus, the familiar script unfolded: some believed it could rise further, while others thought it was time to exit, and sell orders ultimately began triggering a stampede.
From a trading perspective, after a sharp plunge, the most important thing is not to guess whether “the decline is over today,” but to observe the magnitude of the drop, trading volume, and the strength of the rebound. If the price quickly recovers after a high-volume decline, it means buying support is still present; if the rebound is weak and the lows keep moving lower, it means capital is withdrawing.
Therefore, ZEC now appears to have entered a “high-volatility observation period.” The privacy narrative still has room for imagination, but the price is no longer suitable for blindly chasing gains. The market never lacks opportunities; what is lacking is the ability to keep your hands under control while waiting for them.
