✨️Crypto Is 24/7 But Bitcoin Got a 9-to-5 Job 😂

Want a funny one? $BTC never closes, but apparently it has started checking the New York office calendar 😭 A study of almost 88,000 hourly observations found that 50.6% of BTC’s daily volatility now happens during U.S. trading hours - even though that window is only 37.5% of the day.

So why is this happening? My little breakdown 👇

🔴 1. Institutional money changed the rhythm

ETFs, futures, public companies, market makers - more serious capital now operates around traditional market hours. When those desks become active, crypto wakes up with them.

🔴 2. Wall Street literally moves the BTC clock

When New York switches daylight-saving time, $BTC peak volatility hour shifts too. On NYSE holidays, U.S.-session volatility drops from 55.7% to ~41.9%. That one made me go: okay… this is definitely not coincidence 😅

🔴 3. Weekends are becoming the quiet shift

Back in 2016, weekend BTC volatility was almost equal to weekdays. By 2025, it was only ~64%. Crypto is open, sure. The big money? Apparently enjoying Sunday brunch 😂

🔴 4. And it’s not just Bitcoin

ETH, $XRP , SOL, ADA, DOGE and LINK are showing similar movement toward U.S. hours.
