Hi everyone, US stocks finally rebounded after the market opened today. The pullback in oil prices gave the market some breathing room, but inflation and interest rate pressures have not been resolved yet👀
The just-released August CPI rose 3.4% year over year. Inflation remains above the Fed’s target. Although crude oil has retreated from its highs, prices remain elevated, so I will first watch whether the rebound can continue.
Today, I am paying particular attention to individual stocks in these areas👇
📌 ORCL: Earnings beat expectations, and its backlog rose to $664 billion, driving the stock higher. However, orders do not equal realized revenue; going forward, we still need to watch the pace of conversion, capital expenditures, and cash flow.
📌 AMD/INTC: Boosted by Oracle’s earnings, AI-related stocks received support. Next, we will see whether buying can broaden and whether support can hold during a pullback.
📌 $MU /SK Hynix/$SNDK : These remain key areas I am watching, but I will track demand for HBM, DRAM, and NAND/SSD separately. We cannot conclude that memory has broadly strengthened just because AI stocks have rebounded.
For now, I am treating this move as a rebound to monitor. The focus will next shift to the Fed’s decision next week, as well as changes in oil prices and US Treasury yields. In terms of trading, I will continue to cut weak positions and hold strong ones, consider adding only after support is confirmed, and follow my stop-loss discipline if the stop-loss level is breached, so I can preserve opportunities ahead😎#8月核心CPI超預期
