PPI came in hotter than expected again 👀

U.S. August PPI rose 5.4% YoY, showing inflation is still running hot.
Strong jobs data, now hotter PPI — next up is CPI.
So here’s the question:
BTC, gold, or U.S. stocks — which one moves first?

PPI exceeded expectations again, and inflation is burning pretty hot. The jobs data just dropped, and now PPI is at 5.4%; the market will probably shake three times before CPI comes out. I’m inclined to wait and watch for now, then move once the data lands—betting early can easily backfire.

5.4% is definitely high. It’s hard to say whether BTC or gold will move first, but U.S. stocks have been quite sensitive to inflation data lately, with significant volatility whenever PPI/CPI figures come out. Let’s wait until CPI is released before trading—safer that way.

A barrage of inflation data is coming, and expectations for a Fed rate cut in September may be taking a hit. Gold may initially react as a safe haven, but BTC has increasingly resembled a risk asset in recent years, with a stronger correlation to U.S. stocks. I’m choosing to wait for CPI.
