🤝 Gate and RQD* Clearing: why could clearing become an important step in the development of digital assets?
I view the news about Gate exploring a strategic partnership with RQD* Clearing not simply as another corporate initiative, but as a signal of the gradual convergence between the crypto market and traditional financial infrastructure. RQD* Clearing operates in asset clearing and custody, and a potential collaboration could combine Gate's experience in working with digital assets with the infrastructure of traditional markets. In my opinion, such connections could become more important than yet another expansion of the list of trading instruments. When digital assets are integrated with the existing financial system, a much broader field of opportunities opens up for investors. This could also increase trust in the industry, as custody, clearing, and compliance with regulatory requirements are fundamentally important. That is why I will be closely following what exactly this initiative may develop into.
I am particularly interested in the direction of tokenization. I believe tokenization could become one of the key bridges between digital assets and traditional financial instruments. In the future, the boundary between the crypto market and traditional finance may become increasingly less noticeable if the digital representation of assets is combined with reliable infrastructure for their accounting and custody. That is precisely why partnerships with companies experienced in the traditional financial system could be of strategic importance. For Gate, this is a potential opportunity not only to expand its own infrastructure, but also to become part of the process of shaping a new financial ecosystem. For users, in turn, this could mean the emergence of new ways to access digital and traditional markets.
📌 If I look at the possible areas of development, I would identify the following priorities:
• clearing — more efficient infrastructure for working with financial assets;
• custody — a reliable system for controlling and protecting assets;
• tokenization — combining real-world and digital financial instruments;
• traditional markets — potentially broader access to new asset classes;
• compliance with regulatory requirements — an important foundation for scaling digital finance.
In my opinion, the comprehensive development of these areas could have a significantly greater effect than focusing on just one product. I would pay particular attention to how Gate develops the infrastructure around digital assets and traditional financial markets.
Another point that attracts my attention is the potential expansion of access to the US financial markets. If digital assets become increasingly integrated with traditional instruments, users may gain access to a much broader range of financial opportunities. At the same time, I do not believe that such integration should take place solely for the sake of scaling. Reliable infrastructure, transparent processes, and compliance with regulatory requirements must remain the foundation of this development. That is why cooperation with professional participants in clearing and financial infrastructure seems like a logical direction to me. This could help digital assets gradually move from being a separate class of instruments to becoming a fully fledged part of the global financial system. And I consider this process one of the most interesting trends of the coming years.
💭 Personally, I would most like to see further development precisely at the intersection of tokenization and traditional financial markets. In my opinion, the future of finance will not lie in “crypto versus traditional finance,” but in their proper integration. Digital assets are already demonstrating that blockchain technology can change conventional approaches to owning and transferring assets. Now, an important task is to create infrastructure that will make it possible to scale these capabilities without sacrificing reliability and control. That is why the news about a potential partnership between Gate and RQD* Clearing is interesting to me precisely as part of a larger process of transforming the financial market. It will be interesting to see what specific opportunities and areas of cooperation Gate presents in the coming weeks.
