Gate US is exploring a strategic partnership with RQD* Clearing, a U.S. clearing and custody firm, in a move aimed at strengthening connections between digital assets and traditional financial markets. The initiative was announced on September 9, 2026, with both companies discussing potential cooperation across digital assets, clearing, market infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and asset tokenization.
The potential collaboration would combine Gate’s digital-asset services and customer ecosystem with RQD Clearing’s clearing, custody, and technology infrastructure. RQD provides market-access services for broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, overseas financial institutions, and proprietary trading firms. Its technology also provides real-time business visibility and flexible infrastructure for financial-market participants.
Gate founder and CEO Dr. Han said the company is focused on building infrastructure as digital assets become increasingly integrated with traditional finance. Potential areas of cooperation include clearing, compliance, infrastructure development, and tokenization.
RQD’s recent expansion adds context to the partnership discussions. In August, the company raised $74 million in funding led by Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, with participation from ABN AMRO Clearing Bank and Nyca Partners. RQD reported clearing billions of shares and millions of options contracts, highlighting its growing role in U.S. market infrastructure.
For Gate US, the cooperation could ultimately create new pathways connecting crypto trading, traditional securities, custody, and tokenized assets. However, specific products, transaction structures, and launch timelines have not yet been announced.
