Has the crypto industry already spent nearly $200 million on politics for those 60 votes on September 15? 😂
Yesterday, I said we need to keep an eye on the 60 votes for the CLARITY Act.
Today, I’m digging deeper.
It turns out things are even more intense than I thought.
The crypto industry and banks are no longer satisfied with arguing in Washington.
They’re going straight to senators’ home states to win them over.
Crypto:
Hurry up and clarify the rules.
Banks:
Wait, if you keep handling stablecoins this way, what happens to our deposits?😂😂😂
Even more astonishingly, political spending related to the crypto industry this year has already reached at least roughly:
$190 million.
What everyone is really fighting over now is no longer simply:
“Do you support crypto or not?”
The question is:
Who gets to call the shots and make money in America’s roughly $2 trillion market in the future?
So I’ll still be watching those 60 votes on September 15.
BTC grinding around 79K and 80K for half a day is certainly important.
But if CLARITY really makes it through,
the impact may not be just one candlestick—it could shape the next several years.
5 days.
I’ll get the popcorn ready. 🍿
