SpaceX at $147.20: Is the $2 Trillion Comeback Only the Beginning?

SpaceX has once again entered the $2 trillion valuation conversation, but at the current SPCX price of $147.20, I think the more interesting question is not whether SpaceX can return to $2 trillion.

The real question is whether this recovery can develop into a much larger valuation expansion.

SpaceX recently climbed 6.4% to around $149.74 and briefly moved above the $150 level, pushing its market capitalization back above $2 trillion after nearly two months below that milestone. The move showed that investor confidence can return quickly when the market starts pricing in stronger growth from Starlink, Starship and SpaceX’s expanding AI ambitions.

At $147.20, SPCX is now sitting just below the important psychological $150 resistance.

For me, this creates a very clear technical roadmap.

The first level is $150.

A move from $147.20 to $150 would require approximately +1.9%. If buyers can break above $150 with strong volume and maintain the level as support, the short-term recovery structure would become more convincing.

The next major reference is $160.95.

SpaceX’s first trading day closed around $160.95 after its $135 IPO price, making this an important historical level for traders. From $147.20, reaching $160.95 would represent approximately +9.3%.

Above $160.95, the chart becomes much more interesting.

$175 would represent approximately +18.9%.

$200 would represent approximately +35.9%.

And Pivotal Research recently initiated coverage with a Buy rating and a $220 price target, which would represent approximately +49.5% from $147.20. The thesis is heavily connected to SpaceX successfully developing a highly reusable Starship system.

There is also a broader analyst upside case. Recent reports put the average analyst target around the low-to-mid $220s, while some bullish targets extend considerably higher. These numbers should be treated as expectations rather than guaranteed price destinations.

But what actually makes SpaceX interesting?

It is no longer simply a rocket company.

Starlink gives SpaceX a large recurring satellite-internet business. Falcon 9 has established the company as one of the world's most important launch providers. Defense and government opportunities add another layer, while AI infrastructure could become an increasingly important part of the long-term story.

Then there is Starship.

This is where the valuation debate becomes much more serious.

If Starship eventually achieves rapid and economical reusability, SpaceX could potentially reduce launch costs dramatically while increasing launch frequency. That could support faster Starlink expansion, larger satellite deployments, space-based AI infrastructure and entirely new commercial opportunities.

Recent reporting also highlights the importance of the upcoming Starship testing cycle. The next major test could become an important catalyst because investors are increasingly looking at Starship as the technology that could unlock SpaceX’s next phase of growth.

However, this is where I would remain disciplined.

A $2 trillion valuation already represents extremely ambitious expectations. Starship still has to prove that the engineering vision can become a commercially scalable reality. High capital requirements, execution risk, regulatory challenges and competition remain important factors.

So I would not chase every green candle.

At $147.20, my key progression would be:

$150 → first psychological breakout

$160.95 → major historical resistance

$175 → stronger bullish confirmation

$200 → major psychological milestone

$220 → aggressive analyst target

$225.87 → broader analyst-average reference

The percentages from $147.20 are approximately +1.9%, +9.3%, +18.9%, +35.9%, +49.5% and +53.4% respectively.

On the downside, rejection around $150–$161 would make me cautious. If price repeatedly fails to reclaim these levels and starts creating lower highs with increasing selling volume, the bullish recovery could lose momentum.

For me, confirmation matters more than excitement.

I would rather see SPCX break resistance, hold the breakout and demonstrate strong participation than enter simply because SpaceX has returned to the $2 trillion club.

The $2 trillion milestone is important, but it may only be the starting point of the next debate.

Can SpaceX turn $2 trillion from a valuation ceiling into a new foundation?

That is the question I will be watching.

And with Gate’s Event Contract Trade Sharing Challenge, SPCX’s short-term price movements also make levels, momentum and timing especially interesting to follow. For traders, the headline is only the beginning — the real information comes from how price reacts around key levels.

My view: $150 is the immediate battle. Above $161, the bullish structure becomes much stronger. Above $175, the market could start seriously discussing $200 and beyond.

Would you rather watch for a confirmed breakout above $161, wait for a pullback, or hold a longer-term view toward the $200–$220 zone?
