With AI chips so hot, why has Intel suddenly surged instead?
One of the biggest winners of the AI era is clearly the GPU giant, but Intel's more than 9% countertrend surge this time shows that the market is starting to consider another question:
What else does the AI industry need besides GPUs?
One answer is advanced manufacturing.
As demand for AI servers, data centers, and custom chips continues to grow, global demand for advanced process nodes and stable capacity is rising. If Intel can truly establish competitiveness in wafer foundry and advanced process technology, it may have a chance to transform from “an outdated traditional chip giant” back into “an important player in the AI infrastructure supply chain.”
This is also the key logic behind the recent willingness of capital to place bets on Intel again.
Of course, no matter how attractive the story sounds, it must still stand up to real-world testing. Intel has already undergone numerous strategic adjustments, and what the market most needs to see now is actual orders, yields, process progress, and improved profitability.
Therefore, this 9%+ surge can be understood as the market betting ahead of time on the future, rather than the future having already materialized.
If the fundamentals continue to cooperate, the stock price may continue to open up room for a valuation recovery; if the catalysts fail to materialize, the faster the rise, the more easily short-term profit-taking will be realized.
What Intel lacks most now is not a story, but proof.
If it can truly turn things around this time, the second spring of this veteran chip giant may be even more exciting than AI itself.🔥#英特尔逆势大涨超9%
