I’ve never understood why some people keep risking their lives shorting coins that are hitting new highs.

Coins like ZEC, HYPE, LIT, VVV, and Niu Lai—some people just keep shorting them and getting liquidated. When asked why they short, they answer, “I think they’ve gone up too much,” or “The indicators make me think it’s time to short...”
By that logic, Bitcoin rose tens of thousands of times in 10 years, and ETH rose thousands of times—so why didn’t you short them? Haven’t they gone up enough?
In the early stages of a bull market, the tokens that perform best during the transition from a bear market to a bull market often follow this pattern:
“When the broader market falls, I move sideways; when the broader market moves sideways, I rise slightly; when the broader market rallies, I surge.” Isn’t shorting under these circumstances basically asking to die?
Not to mention that many people have no idea about HYPE and LIT’s buyback-and-burn models or ZEC’s European and American old-money mining narrative. With a tumor on their shoulders, they watch the candlestick chart take off and keep saying, “It’s just the final frenzy.”
It’s as if they’re seeing their former selves—how pitiful, how lamentable!

That’s so insightful! I’ve fallen into the kind of trap you mentioned many times before!
