RWA trading is starting to look less like a niche crypto narrative.

On-chain spot RWA trading volume reached a record $7.82B in August, according to CryptoRank.
What stands out to me is the growing activity around tokenized real-world assets, especially tokenized equities.
This shows that the RWA sector isn’t only about putting traditional assets on-chain anymore. There is real trading activity developing around them.
If this trend continues, RWA could become one of the key bridges between traditional markets and crypto.
The next question is: how much bigger can on-chain RWA markets become?

RWA is indeed undergoing a qualitative transformation, from a concept to real trading volume; the key is that traditional capital is beginning to recognize this channel.

The activity in tokenized equities shows that they are not merely being recorded on-chain, but that genuine trading demand is being unleashed.

The question is, how much of this 7.8B is genuine incremental growth, and how much is the migration of existing holdings? The data needs to be broken down further.

Gate perfectly timed this stock contract campaign, landing right in the window when market perception was shifting.

The RWA narrative is finally more than just a PPT, but will the next bottleneck be cross-chain interoperability or the regulatory framework?

The positioning of bridging traditional markets and crypto is spot-on, but compliance and liquidity depth remain tough nuts to crack.
