Tesla Suddenly Cut Prices by 10,000—Why Do I Feel It’s Not That Simple? 😂

September has just begun, and Tesla China has gone all in:
The current Model Y inventory vehicles are discounted by 10,000, the Model 3 by 5,000, with other benefits stackable, and 0% financing is still available for select models.
Wow……
This is already beyond the level of “throwing in a floor mat.”
But looking at TSLA now, I wouldn’t get excited just because of the price cut.
Because the truly interesting question is:
Can this 10,000 actually buy back the sales?
If yes, that means price incentives still work.
But if sales still can’t pick up in September even after throwing 10,000 at it……
Then the issue may no longer be whether it’s expensive.
So I’m not making a call on TSLA yet.
Once the September sales numbers are out, we’ll come back and compare notes.
Are you getting in early now, or waiting until the sales numbers come out? 😂

Price-sensitive users rejoice? Not necessarily.

They’re already making something for a competitor—pretty impressive, right? Zero interest is nice. You’re going to buy it anyway, right?

Diminishing marginal returns from price cuts, a classic playbook.
