60 Million Users, One Personal Journey

When I first joined Gate in February 2025, I did not have a master plan for becoming a trader.

I was simply curious.

Crypto was everywhere. Bitcoin was making headlines, altcoins were moving rapidly, and charts looked like a completely different language. I wanted to understand what was actually happening behind those green and red candles.

Looking back now, joining Gate was not just the beginning of my trading activity. It became the starting point of a learning journey that changed the way I look at markets.

FEBRUARY 2025: THE BEGINNING

My early days were filled with questions.

Why did Bitcoin suddenly move?

Why did one candle erase several previous candles?

Why did a coin rise strongly just when I thought it was too late to enter?

And perhaps the most important question:

How do experienced traders remain calm when the market is moving so quickly?

At first, I thought successful trading was mostly about finding the right entry.

I eventually learned that this is only one small part of the process.

MY FIRST TRADE

I still remember the feeling before placing my first real trade.

There was excitement, but there was also uncertainty.

I knew what I wanted the market to do, but I did not yet understand how quickly the market could prove me wrong.

When my position moved against me, the experience became much more educational than any chart tutorial I had watched.

That first trade taught me something simple but extremely important:

Opening a position takes seconds. Managing that position requires discipline.

That was one of my earliest lessons.

THE MISTAKE THAT CHANGED MY THINKING

Like many beginners, I sometimes confused movement with opportunity.

A coin moved quickly, and I wanted to participate immediately.

I watched candles instead of understanding the larger structure. I focused too much on what price was doing right now and not enough on what could happen next.

And yes, there were moments when I was extremely confident before entering and suddenly much less confident a few minutes later.

Those experiences were frustrating at the time.

Today, they are some of the lessons I value most.

RISK BEFORE REWARD

The biggest change in my mindset came when I stopped asking only:

“How much can this trade make?”

I started asking:

“What happens if I am wrong?”

That question completely changed the way I approached trading.

I began paying more attention to position size, potential downside, invalidation levels and overall risk.

I learned that protecting capital is not a boring part of trading.

It is what allows you to continue participating in the market.

FROM CANDLES TO MARKET STRUCTURE

With time, I became more interested in understanding the reasons behind price movement.

I started studying:

• Support and resistance
• Volume
• Trend structure
• Moving averages
• RSI
• Momentum
• Breakouts and pullbacks
• Bitcoin's influence on the wider market
• Macro news and market sentiment

None of these indicators can predict the future with certainty.

Instead, they became tools that helped me organize my thinking.

That distinction was important.

Trading became less about guessing and more about building a reasonable plan.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PATIENCE

Another major lesson was learning that there is no requirement to trade every day.

Earlier, I sometimes felt that if I was not taking a position, I was missing an opportunity.

Now I see things differently.

Markets create opportunities repeatedly.

Sometimes the strongest decision is to wait.

Sometimes the best trade is no trade at all.

Patience is not inactivity. It is the ability to wait until the situation matches your strategy.

WHAT GATE REPRESENTS TO ME

For me, Gate is connected to every stage of this journey.

February 2025 represents curiosity.

My first trade represents excitement and nervousness.

My early mistakes represent experience.

Studying charts represents growth.

Learning risk management represents maturity.

And today represents a much more structured approach to the market.

I am still learning. I am still making mistakes. I am still discovering new market dynamics.

But the difference is that I now understand that becoming a better trader is a process, not a destination.

60 MILLION USERS

That makes Gate reaching more than 60 million users worldwide especially meaningful to me.

Sixty million is a huge platform milestone, but behind that number are millions of individual stories.

Different countries.

Different experiences.

Different strategies.

Different reasons for entering crypto.

Some people joined because they were curious. Some wanted to learn about blockchain. Others were interested in trading, investing or simply understanding a new financial technology.

My story started with curiosity.

And more than a year later, that curiosity has turned into knowledge, experience and discipline.

MY BIGGEST TAKEAWAY

If I could give my February 2025 self one piece of advice, it would be this:

Do not rush to prove that you are right. Focus on managing the possibility that you could be wrong.

The market does not reward confidence by itself.

It rewards preparation, patience and disciplined decision-making.

Every trade does not need to be a winner.

Every prediction does not need to be correct.

What matters is developing a process that can survive both winning and losing periods.

LOOKING AHEAD

From February 2025 to September 2026, my journey has included excitement, mistakes, learning, late-night chart watching, unexpected market moves and plenty of lessons.

I would not change the mistakes because they helped shape the trader I am becoming.

Gate reaching 60 million users is a milestone worth celebrating, but for me, the real value is the journey behind it.

One platform.

Millions of users.

Countless individual stories.

And one personal journey that started with a simple question:

“What is actually happening on this chart?”

I am still learning the answer.

And that may be the most exciting part of the journey.
