#GateRWAPerpetualsOIRanked 1Globally

Gate is not just riding the RWA wave — it is building the trading infrastructure.
The market is correcting, sentiment is getting tested, and weak hands are getting shaken out.
But look closely at where the real trading activity is showing up.
Gate recorded a massive $20.65B weekly trading volume on August 17, roughly 7.3× its June weekly average. What makes this even more interesting is that this record arrived during a major market correction — exactly when traders become more selective and liquidity matters most.

And then comes the RWA derivatives story.
According to CoinMarketCap’s August 2026 RWA Perpetuals report, Gate reached approximately $378.8M in RWA perpetual futures open interest, representing around 49.6% of total global CEX RWA perpetual open interest.
Read that again:
Nearly HALF of the centralized-exchange RWA perpetual open interest was sitting on Gate.
That is not a small narrative anymore.
That is serious market participation.
The bigger signal is the direction of growth.
RWA perpetual trading activity from June to August increased by approximately 5.3×, showing that traders are moving beyond simply discussing tokenized real-world assets and are actively seeking markets where they can express directional views and manage positions.

And this is where I think the market is underestimating Gate.
RWA is no longer just:
“Tokenized stocks.”
“Tokenized commodities.”
“Tokenized real-world assets.”
The next phase is about liquidity + derivatives + price discovery + capital efficiency.
Because when an asset narrative develops deep perpetual markets, it becomes much more than a story.
It becomes tradable infrastructure.
And Gate is aggressively positioning itself right in the middle of that transition.
The $20.65B weekly volume record tells us one thing:
Traders are still coming to the market when volatility increases.
The $378.8M RWA perpetual open interest tells us another:
RWA traders are increasingly putting real capital behind the narrative.
Put these two signals together and the picture becomes much more interesting.
We are potentially watching the early stage of a major transition:
RWA → Tokenization → Liquidity → Perpetuals → Price Discovery → Institutional-grade trading markets
That is the part I am watching.
Because the next crypto cycle may not be driven only by another meme explosion or another temporary narrative.
It could be driven by the convergence of traditional finance and crypto-native market infrastructure.
And if RWA perpetual markets continue expanding at this speed, the exchanges that already have liquidity, volume and trader participation will have a major advantage.
Right now, Gate's numbers are demanding attention.
$20.65B record weekly volume.
$378.8M RWA perpetual open interest.
49.6% global CEX RWA perp OI share.
5.3× RWA perpetual trading growth from June to August.
These are not numbers I would ignore.
The real question is no longer:
“Will RWA become a crypto narrative?”
The better question is:
“How big can RWA markets become once billions of dollars of real trading liquidity start competing for them?”
Because if this trend continues, RWA may not remain a side sector of crypto.
It could become one of the main battlegrounds for the next cycle.
And Gate is already fighting for the front row.
The narrative is changing.
The liquidity is moving.
The derivatives market is waking up.
Now the market has to decide whether this is just another temporary hype cycle — or the beginning of the next major financial infrastructure shift.
I’m watching Gate RWA very closely.
