SK hynix is back in focus as one of the strongest names in the AI-memory and semiconductor theme, with price action showing that buyers are still willing to step in aggressively after recent volatility.

SK hynix is currently trading around $1,360, while the latest 24-hour range has been defined by a high of $1,408 and a low of $1,320 on September 7. That gives traders a clear picture of the current battlefield: buyers are defending the lower levels, while sellers are actively testing the psychological resistance around $1,400.

The most important development is that price has not simply moved higher in a straight line. Instead, the market is showing a combination of strong momentum, profit-taking, and renewed buying interest. This type of structure can create opportunities, but it also means traders need to pay close attention to support and resistance instead of chasing every green candle.

At $1,360, SK hynix remains only about 3.4% below the recent 24-hour high of $1,408. That is important because the stock is trading relatively close to the top of its latest range. If buyers can reclaim $1,400 and establish a sustained move above $1,408, the market could interpret that as a fresh breakout confirmation.

On the other hand, the $1,320 low is equally important. It represents the first major reference point for buyers defending the current momentum structure. If price continues holding above this area during pullbacks, the bullish setup remains constructive.

The bigger story behind SK hynix is not only technical.

The company has become one of the most important beneficiaries of the global artificial-intelligence infrastructure expansion. AI accelerators require increasingly advanced memory solutions, particularly high-bandwidth memory, or HBM. As AI models become larger and data-center workloads become more demanding, memory performance is becoming just as important as raw computing power.

This is where SK hynix has built a powerful position.

HBM has become one of the central components of modern AI infrastructure, and SK hynix has established itself as a major supplier in this market. The company’s exposure to HBM3E and next-generation HBM4 gives investors a direct way to participate in the growing memory requirements of AI data centers.

The investment thesis therefore extends beyond one day's price movement.

If AI infrastructure spending continues expanding, demand for advanced memory can remain strong. Data-center operators, accelerator manufacturers, and technology companies are investing heavily in computing capacity, and that creates a favorable environment for companies positioned across the AI memory supply chain.

The current chart is also interesting.

SK hynix recently traded between $1,320 and $1,408, creating an $88 intraday range. From the $1,320 low to the $1,360 current price, the recovery is approximately 3%. Meanwhile, price remains close to the upper portion of the range.

This tells us that buyers have recovered a meaningful part of the decline and are now approaching the critical resistance zone.

The first level I would watch is $1,400.

A move above $1,400 would place the market directly against the recent $1,408 high. A clean break above $1,408, preferably supported by strong trading activity, could signal that buyers are attempting to establish a new short-term high.

Above $1,408, the next upside zone becomes $1,430–$1,450.

If momentum remains strong, $1,480–$1,500 becomes the next major psychological area. A sustained move through $1,500 would significantly improve the medium-term bullish structure and could attract additional momentum traders.

There is also a more aggressive scenario.

If AI-memory demand remains strong, semiconductor sentiment improves, and SK hynix continues outperforming the broader technology market, the market could eventually target the $1,550–$1,600 region.

However, that should be viewed as an extended bullish scenario rather than an immediate target.

For now, traders should focus on the levels that matter most.

Key Support Levels

$1,340–$1,350 is the first short-term support area around the current price.

If price experiences a small pullback but remains above this zone, buyers could still maintain control.

The next important support is $1,320–$1,330, which is especially significant because $1,320 represents the latest 24-hour low.

If $1,320 holds and produces a strong bullish reaction, it could become a favorable area for traders looking for a controlled entry rather than chasing price near the highs.

Below $1,320, the next support zone can be watched around $1,280–$1,300.

A deeper correction could then bring $1,240–$1,260 into focus.

The major structural support remains around $1,200–$1,220. A decisive move below this area would weaken the current bullish thesis and suggest that the market needs a much longer consolidation phase.

Key Resistance Levels

The first battle zone is $1,400–$1,408.

This is where sellers have already demonstrated their presence.

A rejection here would not automatically mean the bullish trend is finished. It could simply mean that traders are taking profits after the recent advance.

But a daily close above $1,408 would be much more significant.

The next target would be $1,430–$1,450.

After that, traders can monitor $1,480–$1,500.

If $1,500 is broken with strong momentum, the next extended target zone becomes $1,550–$1,600.

This creates a straightforward bullish roadmap:

$1,400 → $1,408 → $1,450 → $1,500 → $1,600

But the market also has a bearish roadmap that should not be ignored:

$1,320 breaks → $1,300 → $1,280 → $1,240

That is why risk management is essential.

After a strong move, buying directly at $1,360 can carry higher short-term volatility risk. A better approach may be to wait for either a confirmed breakout above $1,408 or a controlled pullback toward support.

A breakout strategy would involve waiting for price to reclaim $1,408 and then watching whether that level turns into support.

A pullback strategy would involve watching the $1,320–$1,350 region and looking for evidence that buyers are defending the area.

The important difference is confirmation.

A price touching a support level does not automatically mean it will bounce. Likewise, a brief move above resistance does not automatically mean a breakout will continue. Traders should watch how price behaves after crossing these levels.

The fundamental picture also contains risks.

The semiconductor industry remains highly competitive, and memory markets are cyclical. Supply increases can eventually pressure prices, while changes in AI infrastructure spending can affect demand expectations.

Competition from other memory manufacturers is another factor. Chinese memory producers are expanding capacity and attempting to increase their market share. Over the longer term, this could create pressure across conventional DRAM markets.

However, SK hynix's exposure to advanced HBM provides an important differentiation.

The key question is whether the company can continue maintaining technological leadership while scaling production efficiently. If it can, the AI-memory theme could remain one of the strongest structural growth narratives in the semiconductor industry.

There is also a broader sector-rotation argument.

When investors move capital toward AI infrastructure, they do not only look at the companies building AI models or designing accelerators. They increasingly look at the companies supplying the infrastructure required to make those systems work.

That includes semiconductors, networking equipment, advanced packaging, power systems, and high-performance memory.

SK hynix sits directly inside this infrastructure chain.

That makes its price action worth watching even when the broader market becomes uncertain.

The current $1,360 price therefore represents an important decision area.

The market is close enough to $1,400 that another attempt at the recent high could happen quickly if momentum returns. But it is also far enough above $1,320 that a rejection from resistance could produce a normal pullback.

My short-term scenario is cautiously bullish as long as the price remains above the $1,320–$1,330 support region.

If buyers reclaim $1,400, the next test is $1,408.

A decisive breakout above $1,408 could open the path toward $1,450, followed by $1,500.

If the market reaches $1,500 and continues receiving strong AI-memory demand signals, $1,550–$1,600 becomes the extended bullish scenario.

But if $1,400–$1,408 rejects price and sellers push the market below $1,320, the bullish momentum would lose strength and a deeper correction toward $1,280–$1,300 could develop.

The strategy is therefore simple:

Do not chase blindly. Watch the levels.

For momentum traders, the key confirmation is above $1,408.

For pullback traders, the key area is $1,320–$1,350.

For risk management, a break below $1,320 deserves caution, while a sustained move below $1,240–$1,260 would represent a much more serious deterioration in the broader setup.

Overall, SK hynix remains one of the most interesting AI-memory names to monitor.

The combination of HBM exposure, AI data-center demand, memory-market dynamics, and strong recent price momentum creates a compelling bullish narrative. But the latest 24-hour range also proves that volatility is elevated.

At $1,360, the market is sitting near a major decision point.

The next move could determine whether SK hynix simply consolidates after its recent rally or begins another acceleration toward new highs.

For me, the most important number is $1,408.

Above it, momentum could expand.

Below $1,320, caution becomes necessary.

Until then, the battlefield remains clearly defined:

Support: $1,320–$1,350

Resistance: $1,400–$1,408

Bullish targets: $1,450 → $1,500 → $1,550–$1,600

Bearish levels: $1,320 → $1,300 → $1,280

As long as buyers continue defending the lower part of the range, the bullish structure remains alive. The real confirmation will come when SK hynix proves that $1,408 is no longer resistance, but the next support level.
