A major Bitcoin security development is getting attention today.

Reports say Liquid Network hackers returned around 3,400 BTC to the Federation wallet after an on-chain negotiation with Blockstream, while roughly 598 BTC was reportedly retained as a bounty.

This is exactly the kind of market event I want to monitor through Gate Trenches. Security events can quickly influence trader sentiment, liquidity and short-term $BTC volatility.

I’m also watching $JPM on the U.S. stock side as a broader financial-market comparison. For traders, the key is understanding the narrative before reacting to the price.

Short-term volatility is definitely here, but don’t rush to open a position—let the sentiment settle first.

Interesting comparison with JPM—when traditional banks run into trouble, no one can negotiate refunds on-chain.

Based on the ratio of the 598 BTC bounty, when you work it out, the hacker’s hourly pay is higher than Wall Street’s, right?

Understand the narrative before taking action—easy to say, but few can actually do it.

The hacker returning the funds is pretty surreal; negotiating a result at the table is more cost-effective than fighting it out on-chain.
