Japan’s Massive Yen Intervention

Japan reportedly used around ¥15.4T ($98.6B) in a record yen intervention.
At the same time, its foreign securities holdings fell by about $87.8B in August, fueling speculation that U.S. Treasuries were sold to help fund the move.
Not confirmed that the entire $87.8B was Treasuries but the scale is significant.

This round of intervention is indeed massive—¥15.4 trillion was injected, and short-term market volatility is bound to be significant.
