401(k) Millionaires Hit a New Record

The number of Fidelity-managed 401(k) accounts with at least $1 million has reached a record 769,000 in Q2 2026.
That’s a roughly 19% increase from the previous quarter. 📈
The rise was supported by strong stock-market performance, continued retirement contributions, and long-term investing.
It’s another reminder that consistent saving and staying invested can make a significant difference over time.
Long-term discipline continues to matter. 👀

This rally in U.S. stocks is truly powerful—the number of people with over $1 million in their 401(k)s surged 19%.

Disciplined saving is practically against human nature in Web3, but traditional finance can indeed rely on the power of compound interest over time.

The Q2 data makes it feel like Q3 is due for a correction. Hopefully these people didn’t go all-in at the top.

19% quarterly growth... The volatility in my crypto wallet last quarter was more than that, but my 401k is steady.

Seeing “staying invested” reminds me of the altcoins I sold at a loss last year. I’m in tears.
