South Korea Asset Managers Launch ETFs Ahead of Anthropic IPO Valued at $2 Trillion

South Korean asset managers are positioning to capture investor demand for Anthropic's highly anticipated initial public offering, with NH Amundi and Samsung Asset Management preparing exchange-traded funds designed to include the AI company shortly after its market debut. According to Edaily's September 6 report, NH Amundi plans to launch the "HANARO US Agentic AI TOP2+" ETF this month, which will track AI agent companies and allow for the special inclusion of Anthropic following its listing. Samsung Asset Management is also evaluating the "KODEX US AI Agent Active" ETF, structured to rapidly add Anthropic once it meets index inclusion requirements. Anthropic confidentially filed its S-1 registration statement with the SEC in June and is expected to go public in late September or early October. The company is reportedly targeting a $2 trillion valuation, which would make it the sixth-largest U.S. company by market capitalization. This move echoes the demand seen during SpaceX's June IPO, when approximately 2 trillion Korean won flowed into U.S. space-focused ETFs in the month leading up to the listing. With the AI sector attracting unprecedented investor enthusiasm, South Korean asset managers are racing to provide retail investors with early exposure to what could become one of the largest technology IPOs in history. The ETFs would offer Korean investors a regulated vehicle to participate in Anthropic's growth story without directly navigating U.S. equity markets.

With a 2 trillion valuation, Anthropic is clearly gearing up to go head-to-head with OpenAI, while South Korean asset managers’ early ETF positioning shows truly keen instincts.

The wave of 2 trillion Korean won in hot money pouring into SpaceX is still fresh in our minds; the AI Agent ETF is likely to be even crazier.

Even the names HANARO and KODEX sound fiercely competitive—retail investors can finally ride along without opening a U.S. stock account.
