Mars Finance News, September 5 — In the coming week, the Federal Reserve will enter its blackout period ahead of the September policy meeting, shifting investors’ focus to the PPI and CPI reports. In addition, the European Central Bank will announce its interest rate decision. The following are the key events the market will be watching in the new week (all times Beijing time):

Monday (September 7): U.S. and Canadian stock markets will be closed for one day due to the U.S. Labor Day holiday;

Thursday, 1:00: ECB President Lagarde will deliver a speech at an official dinner hosted by the Deutsche Bundesbank;

Thursday, 1:00: Apple will hold its fall product launch event, themed “A New Era of Brilliance”;

Thursday, 20:15: The European Central Bank will announce its interest rate decision; 20:30: ECB President Lagarde will hold a monetary policy press conference;

Thursday, 20:30: U.S. initial jobless claims for the week ending September 5, and the year-over-year and month-over-month U.S. PPI for August;

Friday, 20:30: The year-over-year U.S. unadjusted CPI and core CPI for August, and the month-over-month seasonally adjusted U.S. CPI and core CPI for August;

On the earnings front, Oracle (ORCL.N) will release its results after the U.S. stock market closes on Thursday. The report could have a significant impact on the market’s current AI trading trend. As one of the leading cloud service providers, Oracle is investing heavily in building AI data centers.
