NVIDIA — The AI story is getting bigger

NVIDIA isn’t just selling chips anymore.

The latest move says a lot about where the company sees the next phase of AI going: NVIDIA announced a $12.93B acquisition of Hugging Face, expanding its reach deeper into the open-source AI ecosystem.

And the numbers behind the core business are still massive.

NVIDIA reported $96.2B quarterly revenue, up 106% YoY, while Data Center revenue reached $89B, up 117% YoY. The company is also guiding for around $108B revenue next quarter.

What interests me most is the strategy:

Chips → AI infrastructure → software → developers → AI ecosystem

That makes NVIDIA much more than a semiconductor story.

But expectations are already extremely high, so strong fundamentals alone may not guarantee the stock keeps moving straight up.

For NVDA, I’m watching whether execution can continue to justify the expectations.

The AI trade is evolving. NVIDIA wants to be positioned at every layer.

$96B in quarterly revenue, up 106%—that growth is simply insane... But the valuation has already priced in too much; now we’ll see whether it can deliver.

The move to acquire HF is pretty clever—the open-source community is now in their hands, and downstream developers have nowhere to go. But whether the stock can keep surging still depends on whether next quarter’s guidance can beat expectations; the market’s expectations have been set too high.

Chips→infra→software→devs→ecosystem—this roadmap is frighteningly clear: NVIDIA wants to dominate the entire AI stack.
