XRP — 2012

XRP An Early Crypto Focused on Global Payments
$XRP dates back to 2012, making it one of the earlier major digital assets in the cryptocurrency industry.
The XRP ecosystem has focused heavily on fast transfers, settlement and cross-border payments, particularly around the idea of improving how value can move between financial institutions and different markets.
Unlike Bitcoin, which is primarily associated with decentralized money and scarcity, XRP has historically been positioned more around payment and settlement infrastructure.
After more than a decade, XRP remains one of the most recognized assets in the crypto market.

Their paths are completely different from Bitcoin: one serves as digital gold, while the other functions as a payment rail. Their positioning is quite clear.

If Ripple Labs hadn’t been bogged down by all those lawsuits back then, the landscape might be completely different today.

In cross-border payments, XRP does indeed have its own moat, with its bank partnership track record speaking for itself.
