ETF Funds Return, and BTC’s Rise This Time Is a Little Different
BTC Returns to $80,000: This Time, It’s Not a Solo Party! 💰
BTC has climbed back above $80,000, and the market finally feels a bit like a “bull market” again.
But if this rally is viewed merely as a technical rebound, the capital flows behind it may be underestimated.
The most noteworthy factor is the U.S. spot BTC ETFs. The latest data shows that U.S. spot BTC ETFs recorded approximately $731 million in net inflows in a single day, the highest level since January this year. In other words, as BTC rose, institutional funds also began returning.
This is crucial.
Because rallies driven purely by futures capital often come quickly and disappear just as quickly; but if spot capital continues flowing in, the market’s underlying buying support will be much more solid.
At the same time, the macro environment is also helping.
Previously, hawkish signals from the Federal Reserve led the market to worry about a September rate hike, and BTC briefly fell below $78,000. But as Waller delivered conditional dovish signals, market bets on a September rate hike cooled significantly, and BTC quickly reclaimed $80,000.
So this rally is actually the result of three forces combining:
ETF fund inflows returning + cooling expectations for a Fed rate hike + short covering.
Short covering also cannot be ignored. During BTC’s rapid rebound, a large number of short positions were liquidated, and forced buying further amplified the rally.
The question is, can this rise continue?
I believe the key is whether funds can continue entering the market.
If ETFs continue to maintain net inflows while BTC stabilizes above $80,000, market sentiment will gradually shift from “rebound trading” to “trend trading.”
But if ETF funds turn back to outflows and BTC falls below $80,000 again, this rally may return to a range-bound dynamic.
So what deserves the most attention now is not “how much BTC has already risen,” but:
Is there still new money willing to chase the rally?
After all, the market never rewards mere optimism.
$80,000 can be either a starting point or an endpoint.
There is only one difference—
whether continuous real money comes in to carry the rally forward.
If funds continue entering the market, I would be more inclined to view this break above $80,000 as a trend recovery rather than an ordinary rebound.
Next, it will depend on whether the bulls can turn this “one-person performance” into a genuine capital frenzy. $NVDA #BTC收复8万美元
