NVIDIA AT $227.22: THE AI GIANT IS BACK AT THE TOP

NVIDIA is once again proving why it sits at the center of the global artificial intelligence boom.

With NVDA now trading around $227.22, NVIDIA’s market capitalization is approximately $5.49 trillion, putting the company firmly above the $5.4 trillion milestone and reinforcing its position as the most valuable publicly traded company in market history.

But the headline number is only the beginning.

The real story is what is happening underneath the valuation.

NVIDIA’s stock has gained approximately 7.04% over the past week, 11.79% over the past month, and more than 20% year to date. Over the last 12 months, the shares are up around 31.40%.

At $227.22, NVDA is also only about 3.5% below its $235.47 all-time closing high recorded on May 14, 2026.

That means NVIDIA is not simply benefiting from market enthusiasm. It is approaching record territory while its underlying business continues to expand at extraordinary speed.

And the earnings are the strongest part of the story.

On August 26, NVIDIA reported fiscal Q2 2027 revenue of approximately $96.2 billion, representing a staggering 106% year-over-year increase and an 18% sequential jump.

Wall Street expected roughly $92.2 billion.

NVIDIA delivered more.

The Data Center segment generated approximately $89 billion, up 117% year over year, accounting for roughly 92% of total revenue.

GAAP net income reached approximately $59.7 billion, up 126%, while diluted EPS jumped 128% to $2.46.

Non-GAAP net income came in around $54 billion, with adjusted EPS of $2.22.

Even more impressive, gross margin remained around 75%.

For the next quarter, NVIDIA expects approximately $108 billion in revenue, plus or minus 2%, while guiding toward roughly 74% gross margin.

This is where the AI story becomes much bigger than one company.

Management expects approximately 70% revenue growth for fiscal 2028, dramatically above the Street’s roughly 44% expectation. NVIDIA has also described demand as stronger than supply, suggesting that the limiting factor is not customer appetite but how quickly the company can manufacture and deliver its technology.

The next generation is already moving forward.

The Vera Rubin platform is entering full production, with major launch partners including CoreWeave, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Oracle, and Nebius.

NVIDIA is also working with major financial institutions and infrastructure investors including Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR to help unlock more than $500 billion of third-party capital for AI infrastructure.

AWS has committed to deploying another 2 million GPUs across 2027 and 2028, while NVIDIA’s total supply commitments have reportedly reached approximately $279 billion.

That is an enormous forward signal for AI infrastructure demand.

At $227.22, NVIDIA’s valuation also deserves attention. The company trades around 28.4x trailing earnings and roughly 18.6x forward earnings, while its PEG ratio is near 0.38.

Trailing 12-month revenue stands around $303 billion, with approximately $192.9 billion in net income and $7.91 in trailing EPS.

The risks are real.

Gross margins could moderate because of rising memory costs. China-related data center revenue remains excluded from forward guidance because of export restrictions. AMD and other competitors are aggressively developing alternative AI accelerators, while customer concentration remains an important consideration.

And after such a powerful run, volatility should never be underestimated.

Still, the bigger picture is difficult to ignore.

NVIDIA is no longer simply a semiconductor company benefiting from an AI trend.

It has become one of the most important infrastructure providers of the AI economy.

At $227.22, the market is once again valuing NVIDIA near historic highs — but this time, the valuation is being supported by extraordinary revenue growth, enormous AI infrastructure commitments, massive cash generation, and a pipeline extending years into the future.

The $5.4 trillion milestone may look like the destination.

I believe the numbers suggest it could simply be another checkpoint.
