60 months is five years. Who can say whether AI training demand will stay hot for five years? This contract term is a bit of a bet on the future.

As long as it does not constitute a connected transaction. Some companies previously got on regulators’ radar for moving assets from one hand to the other, but Yakan is doing business properly in this case.

Yakang Shares’ move is quite typical: using an asset-light model for computing power leasing, without having to spend its own money building data centers, significantly reducing cash flow pressure.

$922 million for a 60-month lease works out to a monthly average rent that isn’t outrageous, but the computing-power leasing sector is now fiercely competitive. Whether YAKANG can make this deal work will depend on subsequent customer signings.

Who is Supplier B that signed such a huge computing power leasing agreement? If the announcement didn’t disclose it, I’m a bit curious—could it be some major tech company?
