Dell Technologies delivered one of the strongest performances in the U.S. stock market, with shares jumping 15.81% to $492.20, making it the top percentage gainer among S&P 500 stocks during Wednesday’s session.
The rally followed Dell’s strong quarterly results and an upgraded full-year outlook. Revenue reached nearly $47 billion, up about 58% year over year, while adjusted earnings came in at $7.04 per share, comfortably above Wall Street expectations.
The biggest catalyst was booming demand for AI-optimized servers. Dell reported approximately $60.9 billion in AI-server orders, pushing its backlog to a record $95 billion. The company also raised its annual revenue forecast from $167 billion to $192 billion and increased its adjusted EPS outlook from $17.90 to $25.50.
The surge highlights continued investor enthusiasm for companies supplying infrastructure to the expanding AI industry. Dell’s performance also helped lift broader AI stocks, including Nvidia and Oracle, as the S&P 500 gained about 0.46%.
