From BTC to NVIDIA options, Gate is making the “exchange” increasingly broader

If Gate previously looked more like a crypto trading platform, then after launching U.S. stock options, it is clearly moving toward becoming a “multi-asset trading gateway.”
On September 2, Gate officially launched U.S. stock options, with the first nine underlying assets covering NVDA, TSLA, AAPL, META, AMD, MU, AMZN, GOOGL, and AVGO—stocks that are among the most closely watched in the technology and AI markets.
This selection is actually quite interesting.
These stocks already have high visibility and strong volatility, while options naturally require volatility. For users accustomed to trading highly volatile assets such as BTC and ETH, U.S. stock options are not based on an entirely unfamiliar logic.
More importantly, Gate has continued expanding its stock business, and its stock offerings currently cover markets including U.S. stocks, Hong Kong stocks, and South Korean stocks, while supporting participation in global stock investing with USDT.
So this launch of U.S. stock options is more like adding “another layer” to its existing stock ecosystem.
Spot trading addresses holding.
Options address strategy.
When a platform offers spot trading, futures, stocks, ETFs, and options at the same time, users naturally gain more ways to express their market views.
If bullish, they can explore Calls; if bearish, they can explore Puts; if uncertain about the direction, they can design strategies around volatility.
Of course, the more tools there are, the higher the demands on trading ability.
The greatest appeal of options is their flexibility, and their greatest risk likewise comes from that flexibility.
So I would rather interpret this launch as Gate not simply adding another product, but continuously expanding traders’ “arsenal.”$DELL #Gate美股期权正式上线
