Strategy Defends Selling 7,000 $BTC

Strategy CEO Phong Le defended the company’s decision to sell roughly 7,000 BTC at around $60,000–$65,000 to fund preferred dividends.

Speaking on Bloomberg TV, Le called it “the right trade at the time.”

The move highlights the difficult balance between maintaining Bitcoin exposure and meeting corporate financing obligations.

👀 With BTC trading at much higher levels now, was the decision ultimately the right one?

Strategy's BTC position is still very large, so selling a little to create a financial buffer would also be reasonable.

This move reminds me of that saying: the best trade is the one that lets you sleep soundly.

Sold at 60k back then, now it’s 90k+, a paper loss but dividends were paid—is that a win or a loss?
