There are milestones you see on a screen, and then there are milestones that make you stop and remember where you started.

Gate reaching 60 million users feels like the second kind.

I still remember being a beginner in crypto, staring at charts that looked more complicated than they really were. Bitcoin was everywhere, but understanding what actually happened inside the market was a completely different story. I had questions about everything — deposits, wallets, orders, volatility, security and, most importantly, whether I was making the right decision.

Eventually, curiosity won.

I opened Gate and made my first move into crypto.

The amount I started with was small, but emotionally, it felt huge. It was real money entering a market I was still learning to understand. Of course, my journey was far from perfect.

I once came dangerously close to placing a much larger order than intended simply because I failed to check the details carefully enough.

That moment stayed with me.

Crypto taught me that technology can execute an order in seconds, but developing the discipline to control yourself can take years.

Then came the panic moments.

There were days when the market dropped sharply and fear became louder than logic. I sold positions because I was convinced the decline would continue, only to watch the market recover shortly afterward. Other times, I held too long because I became emotionally attached to an asset.

Every mistake left behind a lesson.

Never trade only because of fear. Never buy only because of excitement. And never confuse a lucky trade with skill.

I also experienced the unforgettable world of memecoins — where a ridiculous idea can suddenly attract enormous attention. Watching a token rise rapidly can make anyone feel like a genius. Watching it fall again teaches humility even faster.

Over time, I stopped looking at every trade as a chance to make money and started looking at every trade as an opportunity to improve.

That change made the biggest difference.

I learned patience. I learned position sizing. I learned that protecting capital matters just as much as finding opportunities. Most importantly, I learned that surviving difficult markets gives you the chance to participate in the next one.

But perhaps the most valuable part of the journey has been the community.
