The three major US stock index futures rose Tuesday, with Nasdaq futures turning positive, Dow Jones futures up 0.35% and S&P 500 futures up 0.19%, according to BIT market data.

The Move Follows a Weaker ADP Print
The bid arrives after ADP private payrolls showed a 38,000 increase for August — the smallest gain since January, below the 48,000 expected and down from 44,000 the prior month.
Weak labor data supports equities through the rate channel. Traders currently assign roughly 68% probability to a 25 basis point hike at the September 16 Fed meeting, up from about 36% before Chair Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole address. Any data that compresses that figure relieves pressure on valuations.
The Nasdaq turning positive from a negative open is the more specific signal. Tech carries the longest duration in the equity market and is therefore most sensitive to the discount rate — it moves first and furthest when rate expectations shift.#GateUSStockOptionsNowLive
