🏦 MAJOR BANKS PLAN A NEW DOLLAR STABLECOIN


A consortium of 21 major financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Citi and Deutsche Bank, plans to launch a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin in the first half of 2027. The group is also considering stablecoins linked to other major currencies.
Market Implication:
The move could accelerate institutional adoption of blockchain-based payments and increase competition for established stablecoins such as USDT and USDC.
