🇯🇵 GATE OPENS THE DOOR TO JAPANESE STOCKS — ONE ACCOUNT, FOUR GLOBAL EQUITY MARKETS

Gate is taking another major step beyond traditional crypto trading with the expansion of Japanese stock trading. After launching the service on Web, Gate has now completed the App rollout as well, bringing Japanese equities into a unified trading experience across desktop and mobile.

At launch, users can access around 300 stocks listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, including companies from the prestigious Prime Market. The lineup includes globally recognized names such as Toyota Motor, Sony Group, SoftBank Group, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Nintendo, and Tokyo Electron.

That means exposure across some of Japan's most important industries — automobiles, technology, gaming, telecommunications, financial services, and semiconductors — without needing to leave the Gate ecosystem.

But the biggest story is not simply the number of stocks.

It is the infrastructure behind them.

For many international investors, accessing Japanese equities traditionally means dealing with a local brokerage account, additional documentation, currency conversion, and unfamiliar trading procedures. Gate is simplifying that experience by allowing eligible users to trade supported Japanese stocks through their existing Gate environment, with settlement directly in USDT.

For crypto-native investors, that is a major convenience.

Instead of first converting funds into Japanese yen and moving money through a separate financial institution, users can work within a familiar USDT-based ecosystem. The unified stock account also allows users to access their market data, positions, trading activity, and portfolio management through both Web and App.

And this launch becomes even more significant when viewed as part of Gate's broader expansion.

Gate's equity ecosystem now covers four major markets:

🇺🇸 United States
🇭🇰 Hong Kong
🇰🇷 South Korea
🇯🇵 Japan

This is a major transformation from the traditional crypto-exchange model.

Gate is building an environment where digital assets and traditional financial markets can exist side by side. Alongside Japanese equities, the platform has expanded into Pre-IPO opportunities, IPO access, gStocks tokenized stocks, metals, indices, forex, commodities, and other financial products.

Its stock infrastructure also includes features such as eligible zero-fee US stock trading, fractional trading from as little as 0.01 shares, stock dividends, cross-broker transfers for US and Hong Kong stocks, and support for corporate actions including stock splits and reverse splits.

The bigger objective is clear: make global markets easier to access from one platform.

For users, the advantages go beyond convenience.

Diversification becomes much simpler when crypto and equities can be managed through the same ecosystem. A trader can maintain exposure to digital assets while also gaining access to companies operating in completely different economic sectors.

Japanese equities are particularly interesting because the Tokyo Stock Exchange hosts some of the world's most influential corporations. Japan's technology, automotive, semiconductor, gaming, and financial sectors continue to attract international attention, making access to its listed companies increasingly valuable for global investors.

There is also a broader industry message here.

Crypto has spent years building faster, more accessible financial infrastructure. Traditional markets, meanwhile, have historically operated through fragmented systems. Gate's multi-asset strategy represents an attempt to bring these worlds closer together.

Japanese stocks are not a 24/7 crypto market, however. Trading follows Tokyo Stock Exchange hours, and equities remain subject to market volatility and investment risk. USDT settlement also means users should understand the relevant currency and product considerations before trading.

The important point is that Gate is not simply adding another list of tickers.

It is expanding the definition of what a crypto platform can become.

With Japanese stocks now available across Web and App, Gate continues moving toward a genuine one-stop multi-asset ecosystem where users can explore crypto, stocks, IPOs, commodities, indices, forex, and other markets from one unified environment.

The era of keeping digital assets and traditional investments in completely separate worlds is gradually fading.

Gate's Japanese stock launch is another strong signal that the future of trading may be less about choosing between crypto and traditional finance — and more about accessing both from the same platform.
