What is Gate’s next move after reaching 60 million users?
How should Gate move forward after reaching 60 million users? The real challenge for Gate may only be beginning now
Gate’s growth from 50 million to 60 million users is indeed worth watching.
In March 2026, Gate announced that its global user base had surpassed 51 million; by the end of the second quarter, it had further exceeded 58 million. If 60 million users becomes a new milestone, what will be most worth observing next is not “how many more users it can gain,” but how much real value these users can contribute.
Because registered users are only the first step.
What truly determines a platform’s competitiveness is whether users are willing to trade, whether they are willing to stay long term, and whether the platform can continue to provide more use cases.
On this front, Gate’s recent moves are actually quite clear.
From pure crypto trading to stocks, ETFs, TradFi, Web3, wealth management, payments, and Pre-IPO offerings, the platform is continuously expanding the scope of its assets. Its July transparency report also showed that multiple business lines are advancing simultaneously.
This means that Gate may increasingly come to resemble a “global digital finance gateway” in the future, rather than merely an exchange.
Of course, the larger the scale, the greater the challenges.
A user base of 60 million means higher security requirements, a more complex global regulatory environment, and the need for the product experience to withstand the test of a massive user base.
So my understanding of this figure is:
The first 60 million users proved that Gate is capable of attracting users.
After 60 million, it will need to prove that it is capable of retaining them.
If it can achieve the latter as well, the next figure worth discussing may not be 60 million, but 100 million users.##Gate用户突破6000万
